Munich

August 2021

The capital of the state of Baveria, in the southest east of Germany and the home to Baverain Motor Wroks (BMW). Munich has the typical charm of medival european cities with centuries old churches and open terrace restaurants. Never miss the baverian duck roast from Andechser Am Dom and beer ofc. Munich is also perfect for day trips to Zugspitze and the Neuschwanstein castle.

Berlin

August 2021

The capital of Deutsche land took just 5hrs to reach from Paris, on a DeutscheBahn ICE (German bullet trains) which runs at 300 kmph!. Although I'm not a fan of arts and history but the Jewish museum held my attention for several reasons. Not to forget the Mustafa's Doner kebab and currywrust that one should never miss in Berlin. Unfortunately Saravana Bhavan was not open when we visited :/

Potsdam

August 2021

The city of Potsdam is 1hr away from Berlin. We explored the city using TIER (take the 10€ daily pass for unlimited rides) and that was one of the most enjoying rides and most probably the best way to explore cities in europe. The main tourist attractions that we visited are the Babelsberg park and the Sans Souci castle.

Etretat

July 2021

This is one of the most famous beaches "la plage" in north of France. By bus it takes around four hours from Paris. The cliffs "les falaises d'etretat" are the main attractions of this beach. It takes some effort to climb the top of this cliffs but you will get an absolutely stunning breathtaking view from the top!

Paris mon amour!

January 2021

Moved to Paris on 2021 for my doctoral studies. This time there is covid everywhere and not much liberté but anyway c'est la vie! J'essaye apprendre le française cette fois, parce que j'aime beaucoupe la culture et la cuisine ici.

Mahabalipuram

February 2020

This a small town on the ECR, best known for the UNESCO World Heritage Site of 13,500 BCE monuments (see wikipedia) and just 30 kms away from CMI. Apart from the ancient temples and structures, it also has great beaches and beach side cafes, aah just heaven ❤️ !

Gingee

January 2020

Not a popular one but truly a hidden gem of Tamil Nadu. Its a small town located 135 kms away from CMI, famous for its ancient Forts. Perfect for a one day road trip and a must visit for adventure lovers. We visited Gingee along with our Pondicherry trip (miss those awesome days 😢).

Mumbai

December 2019

Had the opportunity to visit the city of dreams also known as the finance capital of India. Our "Mumbai Darshan" started from the legendary CST station, then the Gateway of India, BSE, Marine drive and not forgetting the kebabs form "Bademiya". On day 2 we visited IIT-B, bandra, juhu beach and drove around the city with a Ford Figo zoomcar.

Pune

December 2019

Thanks to IFCAM for this sponsored trip and overwhelming hospitality at IISER-Pune. On a single day, we visited Shaniwarwada, Goodluck cafe and had the "best in town" Chitale-Bandhu Bhakarwadi. I still remember the mid-night rides we had on our Santro MT Revvcar, on the Mumbai-Pune national expressway.

Goa

October 2019

Beach and Booze : thats what Goa is famous for and my weekend trip was well focused on both! I strongly recommend to try the local Goan cuisine, specially the xacuti anf cafreal recipies, simply too good. We visited some legendary beach side cafes/pub viz. Souza lobo at Calangute beach and Brittos at Baga beach.

Pondicherry

August 2019

Needs no introduction. Its the most popular weekend destination from Chennai and a paradise for booze lovers. A straight 120 kms drive through the East Coast Road (NH-49) from CMI, which is probably the best cruising experience you can get in India. You will pass many stunning landscapes and scenic routes and enjoy the view of the sea, as you cruise down the ECR.

Strasbourg

June 2019

This is about the time when I was backpacking across western Europe XD. Strasbourg was one of my destinations. A city situated in northeastern France famous for its beautiful landscapes and the gothic architecture. The Cathédrale Notre-Dame which is the main attractraction of the city was truly mesmerising!

Belgium

May 2019

French fries were not invented in France! it was Belguim. So we went to the city of Gent to try some frittes (as they call it :p). It was another European city known for its magnificent landscapes and specially the boat cruise within the city. Also one should never miss waffels and chocolates in Belgium!
